Your PDF files are already stored in a folder on your PC. By default, the folder is called “Colwiz files” and is located in the following directory:

In Windows:

In Mac:

In Linux:

If you aren’t seeing the “ColwizFiles” folder, please download the latest version of colwiz from www.colwiz.com/download as this feature is not available in previous versions of colwiz.

While there are very useful comments and directions on the Colwiz website, I have one difficulty when exporting pdf-s from my Colwiz library. I cannot find the Colwiz Files, not even within the hidden files....despite having installed the Colwiz desktop very recently (1.5 weeks). Many thanks.

In addition to my earlier message. I can indeed find the folder as described above, but then I have two observations:
1. only the recently imported pdf files are available in the folder

2. the pdf files that are actually stored there cannot be found / openned / viewed in the main Colwiz Desktop

Many thanks

Glad to have your first issue resolved there. Please confirm if I’m understanding your second issue correctly.

The files that you see in the “Colwiz Files” folder are not accessible in any way in the colwiz desktop library? Please note that this folder is only used to save files that are present in the colwiz desktop library. If you save a new file in this folder, it will not be automatically copied and added within the library. For this purpose, we have the “Watch folder”.

Please visit the desktop library’s “Tools” on the top to set up a watch folder.
