I would start using Colwiz, but neither the plugin for Word 2016 (Mac) – in one computer it does not install properly, and in another, it gives a visual basic error message when trying to insert bibliography – nor the add-on for Google Docs works. Any updates on these?

Are you sure you aren’t in a read-only mode in Google Docs when you’re viewing the document? That’s when the colwiz plugin is disabled. Thanks.
Thanks for notifying us. The development team is currently working on providing support for Word 2016 for Mac. We have noted your concern with Google Docs plugin working only when default language is set to English and shall have a fix for it soon.
colwiz plugin now supports MS Word 2016 on Windows while support for MS Word 2016 on Mac is coming next week. You may begin by downloading the Desktop application from our downloads section and enabling the Editor Plugin from settings.
