currently I only see one bar to insert a citation when I am using the word plugin - there is no way to customise how it is inserted. I saw in other tutorials that in earlier versions a configuration for inserting citations (e.g., in-line or at the end) was available. What do I need to do, to have this feature again.

Thanks for your query. We are in the process of upgrading our citation plugin to provide the best user experience. Currently for MS Word, we only provide the option to search for publications and to set the citation style. Our plugin for Google Docs has a more comprehensive list of options.
